Abstract

ABSTRACT

Students' low learning outcomes on the human respiratory system topic are primarily caused by teacher-centered instruction and the limited use of interactive learning media, making it difficult for students to understand abstract concepts. This study aimed to develop SIPERSIA (Human Respiratory System) interactive multimedia that is valid, practical, and effective for science learning among fifth-grade students at SDN Mrican 1 Kediri. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest assessments, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that SIPERSIA achieved a validity score of 81.4% from the material expert and 77% from the media expert. Practicality scores reached 96% from the teacher and 95.8% from the students. Its effectiveness was demonstrated by 100% learning mastery and high N-Gain scores of 0.80 in the limited trial and 0.82 in the wider trial. Therefore, SIPERSIA interactive multimedia is valid, practical, and effective for improving the quality of elementary science learning.

ABSTRAK

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih didominasi metode ceramah dan penggunaan media sederhana sehingga siswa kurang aktif dan mengalami kesulitan memahami konsep yang bersifat abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan multimedia interaktif SIPERSIA yang valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran IPAS bagi siswa kelas V SDN Mrican 1 Kota Kediri. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi ahli, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta tes pretest dan posttest, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia SIPERSIA memperoleh validitas sebesar 81,4% dari ahli materi dan 77% dari ahli media, kepraktisan sebesar 96% dari guru dan 95,8% dari siswa, serta keefektifan yang ditunjukkan oleh ketuntasan belajar 100% dan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,80 pada uji coba terbatas serta 0,82 pada uji coba luas. Dengan demikian, multimedia interaktif SIPERSIA dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar.
