EFEKTIVITAS TEKNIK EKSPLORASI DALAM MEMBANTU PENGEMBANGAN DIRI SISWA INTROVERT

ABSTRACT
Exploration technique is one of the approaches in guidance and counseling services that can be used to help students understand and express themselves, especially students with introverted tendencies who often experience difficulties in social interaction. Introversion in students can create discomfort in social situations and affect their participation in learning activities at school. This study aims to determine the effect of exploration techniques on introverted students at SMPN 11 Mataram. This study employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 10 students selected through purposive sampling based on a high level of introversion. Data were collected using a questionnaire as the main instrument and analyzed using a t-test to examine the effect of exploration techniques on the condition of introverted students. The results of the analysis showed that the calculated t-value was 1.809, which was lower than the t-table value at the 5% significance level with degrees of freedom (df) = 9 of 2.262 (1.809 < 2.262), indicating that the alternative hypothesis was rejected and the null hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, the exploration technique did not have a significant effect on introverted students in this study. These findings indicate that guidance and counseling services need to consider other intervention approaches that are more appropriate to help introverted students improve their social interaction and adjustment in the school environment.
ABSTRAK
Teknik eksplorasi merupakan salah satu pendekatan dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu siswa memahami dan mengekspresikan diri, terutama pada siswa dengan kecenderungan introvert yang sering mengalami kesulitan dalam berinteraksi sosial. Kondisi introversi pada siswa dapat menimbulkan rasa tidak nyaman dalam situasi sosial serta memengaruhi keterlibatan mereka dalam aktivitas pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik eksplorasi terhadap siswa introvert di SMPN 11 Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 10 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan tingkat introversi yang tinggi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen utama yang dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik t untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik eksplorasi terhadap kondisi siswa introvert. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai t hitung sebesar 1,809 lebih kecil dibandingkan nilai t tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan derajat kebebasan (db) = 9 sebesar 2,262 (1,809 < 2,262), sehingga hipotesis alternatif ditolak dan hipotesis nol diterima. Dengan demikian, teknik eksplorasi tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap siswa introvert dalam penelitian ini. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan dan konseling memerlukan pendekatan intervensi lain yang lebih sesuai untuk membantu siswa introvert meningkatkan kemampuan interaksi sosial dan penyesuaian diri di lingkungan sekolah.
