Diabetes mellitus with hypertension may increase the risk of cardiovascular complications through endothelial dysfunction and increased platelet activity. Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) is a hematological parameter that describes platelet size and activity. This study aimed to analyze the correlation of MPV with HbA1c levels and blood pressure in patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension at Syarifah Ambami Rato Ebu Regional General Hospital, Bangkalan. An observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 21 patients selected using purposive sampling from October 2025 to May 2026. MPV was measured using a Sysmex XN-550 Hematology Analyzer, while HbA1c data were obtained from medical records and blood pressure was measured using a digital device. Spearman correlation analysis was used to examine the relationships among variables. The results showed that 15 respondents (71%) had MPV >10.5 fL, with a mean value of 10.7 fL. The mean HbA1c level was 9.7%, while the mean blood pressure was 166/107 mmHg. No significant correlation was found between MPV and HbA1c (p=0.370), systolic blood pressure (p=0.108), or diastolic blood pressure (p=0.336). In conclusion, elevated MPV was not significantly correlated with HbA1c or blood pressure in the studied patients.
