KETERLIBATAN AYAH DALAM PENGASUHAN SEBAGAI FAKTOR PROTEKTIF KESEHATAN MENTAL REMAJA

ABSTRACT
Adolescent mental health is associated with parenting experiences and the quality of family relationships, including father involvement. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between perceived father involvement in parenting and adolescent mental health in Tegal City and Regency. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 389 adolescents aged 13–17 years, comprising 140 males and 249 females. Data were collected using a 10-item Father Involvement Perception Scale and the 14-item Mental Health Continuum–Short Form (MHC-SF). Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results revealed a positive and significant relationship between perceived father involvement and adolescent mental health, with a path coefficient of 0.468, a t-statistic of 11.703, and a p-value of less than 0.001. The model explained 21.9% of the variance in adolescent mental health (R² = 0.219), with an effect size of 0.281 and a predictive relevance value of 0.203. Most respondents were classified as having moderate mental health (64.52%), followed by flourishing (31.36%) and languishing (4.11%). These findings indicate that perceived father involvement is associated with adolescent mental health, although a causal relationship cannot be established.
ABSTRAK
Kesehatan mental remaja berkaitan dengan pengalaman pengasuhan dan kualitas hubungan dalam keluarga, termasuk keterlibatan ayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara persepsi keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan dan kesehatan mental remaja di Kota dan Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional yang melibatkan 389 remaja berusia 13–17 tahun, terdiri atas 140 laki-laki dan 249 perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui Skala Persepsi Keterlibatan Ayah yang terdiri atas 10 butir dan Mental Health Continuum–Short Form (MHC-SF) sebanyak 14 butir. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui evaluasi model pengukuran dan model struktural. Hasil analisis menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara persepsi keterlibatan ayah dan kesehatan mental remaja, dengan koefisien jalur sebesar 0,468, nilai t-statistics 11,703, dan p-value kurang dari 0,001. Model menjelaskan 21,9% variasi kesehatan mental remaja (R² = 0,219), dengan ukuran efek sebesar 0,281 dan nilai relevansi prediktif sebesar 0,203. Sebagian besar responden berada pada kategori kesehatan mental moderate (64,52%), diikuti flourishing (31,36%) dan languishing (4,11%). Temuan ini menegaskan keterkaitan persepsi keterlibatan ayah dengan kesehatan mental remaja, meskipun hubungan sebab-akibat belum dapat dipastikan.
