This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-concept and psychological well-being among Remaja Teladan of the Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa (GMIM). This reseaarch is significant because Remaja Teladan GMIM are situated within a distinctive socio-religious context, characterized by moral-religious expectations and demands to serve as exemplary figures within the church community. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The participants consisted of 169 Remaja Teladan GMIM aged 12–17 years, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Tennessee Self Concept Scale (TSCS) 2nd Edition Short Form and the short version of Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale. Data were analyzed using the non-parametric Spearman’s rho correlation test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a significant positive relationship between self-concept and psychological well-being among Remaja Teladan GMIM. This means that adolescents with a more positive self-concept tend to have higher psychological well-being. These findings indicate that self-concept is associated with psychological well-being in the context of adolescents’ roles as exemplary figures within the church community. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing a positive self-concept in Remaja Teladan GMIM mentoring programs to support psychological well-being and optimal psychological functioning.
