MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPAS DENGAN MENERAPKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PJBL (PROJECT BASED LEARNING) DI KELAS V SD INPRES WERWARU

Low student learning outcomes in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) are a common problem in Indonesian elementary schools, including at SD Inpres Werwaru, Southwest Maluku Regency. The dominance of lecture-based instruction is a primary factor contributing to low student engagement and academic achievement. This study aims to describe and analyze improvements in student learning outcomes in IPAS through the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) in Grade V at SD Inpres Werwaru. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design involving 17 fifth-grade students as research subjects. The instruments used included learning outcome tests and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using a learning mastery percentage analysis technique. The results demonstrated significant improvements across all three assessment domains. The learning mastery percentage increased from 23.5%on the pretest to 100% on the posttest, with the class average rising from 61 to 76. The cognitive domain improved from a range of 35–75 to 70–80, the psychomotor domain from 40–75 to 70–90, and the affective domain remained consistently stable at 75–83. It is concluded that the PjBL model effectively enhances students’ holistic learning outcomes in IPAS and is recommended as an innovative instructional model within the Merdeka Curriculum implementation.
ABSTRAK
Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) merupakan permasalahan yang umum dijumpai di berbagai sekolah dasar di Indonesia, termasuk di SD Inpres Werwaru, Kabupaten Maluku Barat Daya, wilayah timur Indonesia. Dominasi metode ceramah menjadi faktor utama yang menyebabkan rendahnya keterlibatan dan capaian hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) di kelas V SD Inpres Werwaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek penelitian 17 siswa kelas V. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi soal tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis persentase ketuntasan belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada ketiga aspek penilaian. Persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 23,5% pada pretest menjadi 100% pada posttest, dengan nilai rata-rata kelas naik dari 61 menjadi 76. Aspek kognitif meningkat dari rentang 35–75 menjadi 70–80, aspek psikomotor dari 40–75 menjadi 70–90, serta aspek afektif terjaga stabil pada kisaran 75–83. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PjBL secara efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara holistik pada mata pelajaran IPAS dan direkomendasikan sebagai model pembelajaran inovatif dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.
