Abstract

ABSTRACT

The rapid development of digital transformation has increased the importance of digital economic literacy in economics education as an effort to equip students with the ability to understand digitally mediated economic activities. However, studies on digital economic literacy in the context of economics education remain diverse and have not yet been comprehensively integrated. This study aims to analyze the trends, opportunities, and challenges of digital economic literacy research in economics education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The data were obtained from the Scopus database covering the period 2015–2025 using the PRISMA guidelines. The findings indicate that research on digital economic literacy has significantly increased during the 2022–2025 period, with major themes including digital financial literacy, technology-based learning, artificial intelligence, digital transactions, and students’ digital competencies. Furthermore, the study reveals that digital economic literacy has considerable potential to support technology-based economics learning and strengthen 21st-century competencies. Nevertheless, several major challenges remain, including the digital divide, low levels of digital literacy preparedness, and the limited integration of character education and Islamic values in the use of digital technology. This study is expected to provide a foundation for developing Islamic values-based digital economic literacy learning models in social studies economics education in the era of digital transformation.

ABSTRAK

Perkembangan transformasi digital telah mendorong pentingnya literasi digital ekonomi dalam pembelajaran ekonomi sebagai upaya membentuk kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami aktivitas ekonomi berbasis digital. Namun, kajian mengenai literasi digital ekonomi dalam konteks pembelajaran ekonomi masih menunjukkan fokus penelitian yang beragam dan belum terintegrasi secara komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tren, peluang, dan tantangan penelitian literasi digital ekonomi dalam pembelajaran ekonomi melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data penelitian diperoleh dari database Scopus pada periode 2015–2025 menggunakan pedoman PRISMA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tren penelitian literasi digital ekonomi mengalami peningkatan signifikan pada periode 2022–2025 dengan fokus kajian meliputi literasi keuangan digital, penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, kecerdasan buatan, transaksi digital, dan kompetensi digital peserta didik. Selain itu, penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital ekonomi memiliki peluang besar dalam mendukung pembelajaran ekonomi berbasis teknologi dan penguatan kompetensi abad ke-21. Namun demikian, tantangan utama yang masih dihadapi meliputi kesenjangan akses teknologi (digital divide), rendahnya kesiapan literasi digital, serta belum optimalnya integrasi nilai karakter dan nilai keislaman dalam penggunaan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan model pembelajaran literasi digital ekonomi berbasis nilai keislaman pada pembelajaran IPS bidang ekonomi di era transformasi digital.
