Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between preeclampsia and preterm birth and whether there is a relationship between preeclampsia and low birth weight (LBW) at the PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan Hospital. The method used in this study was a retrospective quantitative study, often referred to as ex post facto. The sample was taken using total sampling technique with a total of 428 subjects. The data used was secondary data obtained from patients' electronic medical records. After collecting the data, it was processed and analyzed using SPSS to see the correlation. Fisher's exact hypothesis test was used with a significance level (α = 0.05). Based on this study, a p-???????????????????? value of 0.003 < α = 0.05 was obtained, which means that there is a significant relationship between preeclampsia and preterm birth. The second variable hypothesis test used Fisher's exact test with a significance level (α = 0.05) and obtained a p-value of ???????????????????? 0.005 < α = 0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between preeclampsia and low birth weight (LBW). Based on this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between preeclampsia and preterm birth and low birth weight (LBW) at RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan Pekalongan in 2025. Health workers are expected to be able to improve pregnancy monitoring in mothers with risk factors such as preeclampsia.
