ABSTRACT
The utilization of generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) in higher education has the potential to enhance efficiency in the development of learning media. However, research comparing the utilization of various generative AI platforms in instructional tasks, particularly in drafting learning video scripts, remains limited. Therefore, this study is crucial to provide an empirical overview regarding the differences in the utilization of ChatGPT and Claude AI in supporting learning video scriptwriting. This study aims to analyze the differences in the utilization level of ChatGPT and Claude AI platforms in drafting learning video scripts among Educational Technology students. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach with a total sampling technique involving 70 students. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire constructed based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) constructs and analyzed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test. The results indicate a significant difference in the utilization level between ChatGPT and Claude AI in drafting learning video scripts. Claude AI exhibits a higher utilization level compared to ChatGPT in supporting the scriptwriting process. These findings demonstrate that Claude AI is perceived as more effective and systematic in drafting scripts due to its superiority in long-form text processing (perceived usefulness), whereas ChatGPT is optimal in terms of flexibility and initial brainstorming (perceived ease of use).
