ABSTRACT
This study aims to examine the empirical effect of TikTok usage intensity and exposure to self-diagnosis content on adolescents' self-perception among Islamic boarding school students (santri) in Tuban, East Java. A quantitative survey design was employed, with 100 respondents aged 15–17 years selected through purposive sampling based on their active use of TikTok. Data were gathered using validated Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression supported by SPSS version 27. The findings indicate that TikTok usage intensity and exposure to self-diagnosis content simultaneously exert a significant effect on self-perception (F=90.235;p<.001). Partially, TikTok usage intensity (t=10.087;p<.001) and exposure to self-diagnosis content (t=2.212;p=.029) positively and significantly influence students' self-perception. The coefficient of determination (R^2) of 0.650 indicates that 65.0% of the variance in self-perception is explained by both independent variables, while the remaining 35.0% is governed by external factors. These findings highlight the necessity of structured digital literacy programs and verified psychological education within Islamic educational environments.
