Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of the Academic Management Information System (SIMAK) on student satisfaction in the Information Technology Education Department of Muhammadiyah University of Kendari. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey technique through a closed questionnaire based on a Likert scale. The sample consisted of 22 students selected by total sampling. The data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the average score and supported by validity and reliability tests to test the quality of the instrument. The results showed that the level of student satisfaction with SIMAK was in the "Quite Satisfied" category, with an average score per item of 3.28 on a scale of 5. The feature that most satisfied students was filling out the KRS (Course Plan) with the highest score of 4.23, while the aspect that was least satisfied was system stability with a score of 2.52. The validity test showed that all items had a positive and significant correlation with the total score, and the reliability test produced a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.987, indicating that the instrument was highly reliable. This study concluded that SIMAK has made a positive contribution in simplifying students' academic processes, although improvements in technical aspects and user experience are still needed. These results provide input for system developers and the Department to improve the quality of digital academic services in a sustainable manner.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemanfaatan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Akademik (SIMAK) terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik survei melalui kuesioner tertutup berbasis skala Likert. Sampel terdiri dari 22 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara total sampling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan perhitungan rata-rata skor dan didukung oleh uji validitas serta reliabilitas untuk menguji kualitas instrumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap SIMAK berada pada kategori “Cukup Puas”, dengan nilai rata-rata per item sebesar 3,28 dari skala 5. Fitur yang paling memuaskan mahasiswa adalah pengisian KRS, dengan skor tertinggi sebesar 4,23, sedangkan aspek yang paling rendah adalah stabilitas sistem, dengan skor 2,52. Uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa seluruh item memiliki korelasi positif dan signifikan terhadap total skor, dan uji reliabilitas menghasilkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,987, yang menunjukkan bahwa instrumen sangat reliabel. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa SIMAK telah memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mempermudah proses akademik mahasiswa, meskipun masih diperlukan peningkatan pada aspek teknis dan pengalaman pengguna. Hasil ini memberikan masukan bagi pengembang sistem dan pihak Jurusan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan akademik digital secara berkelanjutan.
