ABSTRACT
Organizations are social systems whose success is largely influenced by the quality of human resources involved. Differences in individual characteristics, such as motivation, attitudes, perceptions, and personality, make the understanding of psychological aspects essential in organizational management. This article aims to examine the concept of organizational psychology, including its definition, scope, fundamental concepts, factors influencing organizational behavior, and the benefits of its application in improving organizational effectiveness. This study employed a library research method by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing relevant literature, including books, journal articles, and other scholarly references related to organizational psychology. The data were analyzed descriptively to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and applications of organizational psychology. The findings indicate that organizational psychology focuses on individual and group behavior within organizational settings, which are influenced by individual, group, and organizational factors. Its scope includes individual and group behavior, organizational structure, and organizational culture, while its fundamental concepts encompass work motivation, leadership, job satisfaction, and organizational communication. The application of organizational psychology principles provides significant benefits, including improving work effectiveness, creating a conducive work environment, reducing conflicts, enhancing employee motivation and job satisfaction, and supporting more effective decision-making processes. Therefore, an understanding of organizational psychology is a crucial factor in supporting organizational success and effectiveness.
