Abstract

Technological advances in the modern era make children spend more time with gadgets, resulting in decreased concentration. This research focuses on the fine motor development of children aged three to five years to improve concentration skills. This study uses a qualitative method approach by means of observation. Our findings show that at the age of five, children have difficulty connecting lines that have more than one angle (kite drawing). Out of twenty-two children, only four were successful. Furthermore, it was also found that children who were not yet five years old took a long time to complete a drawing without angles (circle drawing). Thus, these findings can be used as a reference for kindergarten teachers in providing exercises that are suitable for children's abilities.


ABSTRAK

Kemajuan teknologi pada era modern membuat anak-anak lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu dengan gadget, sehingga mengakibatkan konsentrasi anak menurun. Penelitian ini berfokus pada perkembangan motorik halus anak usia tiga sampai lima tahun untuk meningkatkan kemampuan konsentrasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kualitatif dengan cara observasi. Temuan kami menunjukkan pada umur lima tahun, anak mengalami kesulitan untuk menghubungkan garis yang memiliki sudut lebih dari satu (gambar layang-layang). Dari dua puluh dua anak hanya empat anak yang berhasil. Selanjutnya, ditemukan juga anak yang belum berusia lima tahun membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama untuk menyelesaikan gambar tanpa sudut (gambar lingkaran). Dengan demikian, temuan ini dapat dijadikan referensi untuk guru Taman Kanak-kanak dalam memberikan latihan yang sesuai dengan kemampuan anak.
