ABSTRACT
The dynamics of college life require early adult students to possess robust mental resilience in facing various academic and social pressures. This comparative quantitative study was designed to examine whether differences exist in the levels of General Self-Efficacy between male and female Banjar undergraduate students. Field data collection was structurally executed in April 2026, involving two hundred respondents recruited through a purposive sampling technique. The psychological construct was measured using the standardized General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) with its validated Indonesian adaptation. All numerical data distributions were subsequently analyzed using an independent samples t-test procedure via the JASP software. Empirical findings demonstrate no significant score disparity between the two gender groups, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.891, which exceeds the conventional error threshold. This figure confirms that gender is not a primary determinant in building students' self-belief. The contribution of this research lies in expanding cross-gender psychological mapping within the cultural framework of the Banjar ethnic group, while providing a foundation for educational institutions to design inclusive mental capacity-building strategies.
