PENGARUH KELEKATAN TEMAN SEBAYA DAN REGULASI EMOSI TERHADAP KECENDERUNGAN KECEMASAN SOSIAL SISWA KELAS XI DI SMAN 3 CIKAMPEK

This study aims to examine the predictive contribution of peer attachment and emotion regulation to social anxiety tendencies among 11th-grade students at SMAN 3 Cikampek. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational-predictive design. The sample consisted of 167 students, determined using the Isaac and Michael table with a 5% margin of error and a nonprobability sampling technique. The instruments used were the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), and the Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SAS-A). Data were analyzed using normality tests, linearity tests, multiple linear regression, and coefficient of determination tests with SPSS 25.0. The results showed that peer attachment and emotion regulation simultaneously made a significant contribution to students’ social anxiety. Partially, peer attachment made a significant contribution to social anxiety, whereas emotion regulation did not show a significant contribution to social anxiety. These findings indicate that peer attachment played a more prominent role than emotion regulation in explaining students’ social anxiety tendencies. Practically, this study implies the importance of strengthening peer relationships through peer support programs, group counseling, and school activities that promote social acceptance as an effort to help reduce students’ social anxiety tendencies.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi prediktif kelekatan teman sebaya dan regulasi emosi terhadap kecenderungan kecemasan sosial pada siswa kelas XI di SMAN 3 Cikampek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional-prediktif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 167 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan tabel Isaac dan Michael dengan taraf kesalahan 5% serta teknik nonprobability sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), dan Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SAS-A). Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, regresi linear berganda, dan uji koefisien determinasi dengan bantuan SPSS 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan teman sebaya dan regulasi emosi secara simultan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kecemasan sosial siswa. Secara parsial, kelekatan teman sebaya berkontribusi signifikan terhadap kecemasan sosial, sedangkan regulasi emosi tidak menunjukkan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap kecemasan sosial. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan teman sebaya memiliki peran yang lebih menonjol dibandingkan regulasi emosi dalam menjelaskan kecenderungan kecemasan sosial siswa. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya penguatan relasi teman sebaya melalui program peer support, konseling kelompok, dan kegiatan sekolah yang mendorong penerimaan sosial sebagai upaya untuk membantu menurunkan kecenderungan kecemasan sosial pada siswa.
