Abstract

The result of Scientific Literacy based on PISA, Indonesia are ranked far below other countries. Scientific literacy skills play an important role in shaping society to face Globalization. National education is one of the development sectors that aims to empower students. The aim of this research study is to determine the comparison of science literacy in implementation of problem-based learning model and project-based learning model on the concept of fungi. This research was conducted at SMAN 5 Depok of the academic year 2017/2018. The research methodology used Pre-experimental design through two groups pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this research was carried out purposive sampling technique and the sample was 36 tenth-grade students of MIPA 1 and 37 tenth-grade students of MIPA 5 that involved in this research. The instrument test were an essays test consisting of ten questions and scientific performance attitude sheet. The data analysis of both groups was examined by using t-test. The obtained result is t-count 3,030 over t-table 1,993 (Sig 3,030 > 1,993) with 5% significance. The data showed that there were some differences in science literacy between students using problem-based learning model and project-based learning model on the concept of fungi. The conclusion is problem based learning more effective to enhance science literacy on the concept of fungi in comparison to project based learning

ABSTRAK
Kemampuan literasi sains berperan penting dalam pembentukan masyarakat untuk menghadapi era globalisasi saat ini. Pendidikan nasional merupakan salah satu sektor pembangunan yang bertujuan untuk memperdayakan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan literasi sains siswa dalam implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based learning) dan Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (project based learning) pada konsep Fungi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 5 Depok Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental design yang menggunakan  desain penelitian two groups pretest-posttest design. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 1 berjumlah 36 orang dan siswa kelas X MIPA 5 berjumlah 37 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes uraian dan lembar observasi kinerja ilmiah. Analisis data kedua kelompok dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah t hitung sebesar 3,030 lebih besar dari t tabel sebesar 1,993 (Sig 3,030 > 1,993) dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan literasi sains siswa dalam implementasi model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada konsep fungi. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian adalah pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan literasi sains lebih baik daripada pembelajaran berbasis proyek.
