Abstract

University students often face various academic, social, and personal pressures that may trigger stress if not properly managed. This condition can significantly affect their psychological well-being, learning motivation, and academic performance. Responding to this issue, this community service program (PKM) focused on stress management training for students of Sekolah Tinggi Teologi (STT) Sola Gratia. The main objective of this activity was to equip students with practical skills to recognize stress symptoms, understand their causes, and develop adaptive coping strategies through psychoeducational and experiential approaches. The one-day training consisted of several stages, including an opening and pre-test, sessions on the definition, causes, and effects of stress, coping and relaxation practices through role play, followed by evaluation and post-test. The activity involved 28 students and demonstrated significant improvement in participants’ abilities to identify stress and apply effective stress management techniques. The post-test results showed a notable decrease in stress levels, with most students shifting from moderate to low-stress categories. These findings indicate that psychoeducational interventions are effective in enhancing students’ psychological resilience and emotional regulation. Moving forward, similar programs could be developed into continuous training modules or digital-based mindfulness platforms to strengthen students’ overall mental well-being and promote a healthier academic environment..
