ABSTRACT
In the era of globalization, human resource management (HRM) plays a strategic role in enhancing organizational competitiveness. One of the key issues is the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, which is believed to significantly influence employee loyalty, performance, and workforce sustainability. This study employs a literature review method by examining eleven scientific articles from international and national journals published between 2015–2025. The analysis was conducted using a thematic approach to identify the direction of the relationship, similarities, differences, and practical implications. The findings indicate that job satisfaction is positively related to organizational commitment, either directly or through mediating variables such as work engagement and job characteristics. International studies emphasize the complex psychological mechanisms involved, while local research highlights the direct influence within the Indonesian organizational context. Practically, increasing job satisfaction can be achieved by creating a supportive work culture, implementing fair reward systems, ensuring effective communication, and providing career development opportunities. Thus, the findings reinforce the importance of positioning job satisfaction as a strategic element of HRM to strengthen employee commitment and support organizational sustainability.
