TREN PENELITIAN TENTANG KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MANAJEMEN SEKOLAH: ANALISIS BIBLIOMETRIK DARI PUBIKASI INTERNASIONAL

This study aims to analyse the trend and development of research on principal leadership in school management through a bibliometric approach. Data was obtained from Scopus database with publication year limitation 2014-2024, resulting in 215 journal articles analysed. The bibliometric method was used with the help of VOSviewer and R Studio (Biblioshiny) software to map publication trends, most productive authors, most influential journals, and keyword linkages. The visualisation results show that the keyword ‘leadership’ has a strong dominance, and acts as the centre of a network that is closely connected to words such as ‘education,’ ‘school,’ ‘teacher,’ and ‘role.’ Five thematic clusters were identified: leadership in formal education, child education management, COVID-19 impact, medical education, and literature review methodology clusters. The findings show that principal leadership remains a central topic in the global education literature, and is evolving in a multidisciplinary direction. The review recommends further exploration of the role of leadership in non-formal contexts and evolving educational technologies.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren dan perkembangan penelitian tentang kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam manajemen sekolah melalui pendekatan bibliometrik. Data diperoleh dari basis data Scopus dengan Batasan tahun publikasi 2014–2024, menghasilkan 215 artikel jurnal yang dianalisis. Metode bibliometrik digunakan dengan bantuan perangkat lunak VOSviewer dan R Studio (Biblioshiny) untuk memetakan tren publikasi, penulis paling produktif, jurnal paling berpengaruh, serta keterkaitan kata kunci. Hasil visualisasi menunjukkan bahwa kata kunci “leadership” memiliki dominasi kuat, dan berperan sebagai pusat jaringan yang terhubung erat dengan kata seperti “education”, “school”, “teacher”, dan “role”. Lima klaster tematik berhasil diidentifikasi: klaster kepemimpinan dalam pendidikan formal, manajemen pendidikan anak, dampak COVID-19, pendidikan kedokteran, serta metodologi kajian literatur. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah masih menjadi topik sentral dalam literatur pendidikan global, dan berkembang ke arah multidisipliner. Kajian ini merekomendasikan perlunya eksplorasi lebih lanjut terhadap peran kepemimpinan dalam konteks non-formal dan teknologi pendidikan yang terus berkembang.
