POLA ASUH IBU PEKERJA DALAM MEMBENTUK SELF CONTROL ANAK USIA DINI DI PAUD KECAMATAN PURWAKARTA CILEGON

This study aims to analyze the impact of working mothers' parenting styles on developing self-control in early childhood at PAUD in Purwakarta District, Cilegon. The parenting style adopted by working mothers plays a crucial role in shaping children's self-control abilities, including regulating emotions, delaying gratification, and following rules. This research utilizes a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, involving in-depth interviews with three working mothers as research subjects. The findings indicate that authoritative parenting, characterized by high responsiveness and clear boundaries, positively impacts children's self-control development. Conversely, authoritarian parenting, which is overly strict, and permissive parenting, which lacks structure, can hinder children's ability to regulate their emotions and behavior. Factors such as consistency in rule enforcement and active emotional support from mothers significantly influence the development of children's self-control. This research provides insights for working mothers and policymakers to support child development through appropriate parenting strategies.
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pola asuh ibu pekerja terhadap perkembangan self-control anak usia dini di PAUD Kecamatan Purwakarta, Cilegon. Pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh ibu pekerja memainkan peran penting dalam pembentukan kemampuan self-control, yang mencakup kemampuan mengendalikan emosi, menunda gratifikasi, dan mematuhi aturan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi, yang melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan tiga ibu pekerja sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh otoritatif, yang ditandai dengan responsivitas tinggi dan pengaturan batas yang jelas, memiliki dampak positif terhadap perkembangan self-control anak. Sebaliknya, pola asuh otoriter yang terlalu ketat dan permisif yang kurang terstruktur dapat menghambat kemampuan anak dalam mengendalikan emosi dan perilaku. Faktor-faktor seperti konsistensi dalam penerapan aturan dan dukungan emosional yang aktif dari ibu sangat berpengaruh dalam membentuk self-control anak. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi ibu pekerja dan pembuat kebijakan untuk mendukung perkembangan anak melalui pola asuh yang tepat.
