Amidst the challenges of globalization that threaten the preservation of local culture, literary works, particularly the travel literature genre, have emerged as an important medium for documentation. This background has motivated the research on Ugi Agustono's novel Lukisan Tanpa Bingkai (Painting Without a Frame). This research focuses on examining how the novel represents the cultural tourism of the traditional penti ceremony in Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. This research step uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method to identify the series of rituals and the noble values contained therein. The main findings of the study successfully outlined four important stages in the penti tradition: (1) reke penti or determining the time, (2) prayer rituals at three sacred locations, (3) caci dance performances, and (4) thanksgiving ceremonies for the kilo holiday. In addition, seven fundamental values ??that serve as guidelines for community life are identified, including the values ??of education, kinship, mutual cooperation, spirituality, normative, democracy, and justice. It is concluded that this novel effectively represents the local wisdom of penti, and the findings provide a significant contribution to efforts to preserve Indonesian culture through a literary perspective.
